This location was used for the newsreader scene. I used a staircase as it has a neutral white background which makes it easy to manipulate and change if I want to. This neutral colour also helps the audience to identify the setting as a news studio as it looks like a professional setting. There was plenty of space in the room to move around and try different camera angles and different framing. I decided to use a mid shot for my final shot as this is the shot typically used in news reports. However, as it was a large space I did have to be careful with the dialogue as if the actress spoke too loudly there was a noticeable echo which would not sound good in the trailer.
